Each year for the past twenty years Southern Living Magazine has chosen three locations to build one of its coveted “Idea Houses.” The Southern Living Idea House is one of the most recognizable and sought after programs in the development world. We, at Plein Air, were honored to have been approached by Southern Living to host one of their 2008 Idea Houses. The other two locations chosen this year were Fort Wort, TX and Asheville, NC.

The house has four bedrooms and four and a half baths and is 3,100 square feet. It has three fabulous porches, one with an outdoor fireplace. Tall ceilings, re-claimed bricks, heart pine floors, wood burning fireplaces and an all-Viking kitchen are a few of the highlights. The master shower has five shower heads. Designed by renowned Atlanta architect, and Mississippi native, John Tee the house was featured on the August 2008 cover of Southern Living magazine. The house is for sale at $875,000.
