The Kudzu Kings, the legendary Oxford bluegrass and rock and
roll band, will take to the stage Friday night October 12th
at the Plein Air Amphitheatre in downtown Taylor. The
concert marks the first of the new Plein Air artist series –
which creates events to bring together artists and patrons
of the arts. “Since day one our goal has been to create a
neighborhood that fosters and celebrates the arts,” said one
of Plein Air’s developers Campbell McCool. “We’re finally
seeing it come to fruition with the Kudzu Kings concert and
later this month with a workshop featuring Mississippi
artist Wyatt Waters.”
The concert is from 7-10 pm on the lawn at Plein Air,
located at the intersection of County Road 335 and Main
Street in downtown Taylor. It is free to the public and
attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and enjoy the
evening.
Plein Air is a traditional neighborhood development located
in downtown Taylor. The houses are wood-frame with tin
roofs, front porches, and wood burning fireplaces. Ground
was recently broken on the first commercial building at
Plein Air, which will house a coffee shop and antiques
store.
